PACT and European Training requirements

Our goal is harmonisation of postgraduate training in Ob/Gyn, aiming for the highest quality of care for all women and their babies.

EBCOG has recently revised its training programme for postgraduate Training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, the Project of Achieving Consensus in Training (PACT). The PACT training curriculum describes the end terms of training for all gynaecologists in Europe, and provides a structure to design PACT training programmes on a local basis with guidelines for simulation training, entrustment, quality assessment and faculty development.

In April 2018, the completely revised training curriculum has been formally approved by UEMS as European Training Requirements. The EBCOG-PACT curriculum was launched on May 18th 2018 in Brussels.

TTT – Train the trainers

SCTA has developed Train the trainers courses (TTT) for faculty development. These interactive on site courses consist of brief background lectures on medical educational theory and small group exercises to gain first experience. The courses can be adapted to local needs. Usually, courses of 1-2 days are held.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, at the time, no courses are held.

EBCOG Fellowships

In order to stimulate the mobility of trainees across Europe, EBCOG (the European Board and College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists) annually awards three fellowships to Obstetrics and Gynaecology trainees currently training in Europe.
